Austin's Second Basketball Game

Well, it was another successful game for the Roadrunners. They won 26-14 and Austin scored 6 points. We were so proud of him. He played awesome defense, got multiple rebounds and looked fantastic. The boys look great as a team and I am sure as the season progresses they will just look better and better. I took a little better pictures this game. I am still hoping to get those great shooting the ball shots but today I was more excited to see him score than taking pictures of it. Maybe next game.......But here are some pictures of him anyways.

First Basketball Game

Austin had his first basketball game on Saturday. They won 22-16. It was a really good game and the boys seemed to really enjoy themselves. Austin played well. He almost made a basket but it went in and then popped out. I am guessing that next game he will be scoring like crazy. It was packed with family watching the kids play and we were cheering so loud for them. At one point in the game the score was 12 -0 in favor of our boys. They sure learned a lot in the last few weeks and it really showed. I hope they keep up the great team work. I will post pictures after next week's game. I didn't bring my right camera lens and the pictures didn't turn out too great.

And the ugliest sweater award goes to..............

My husband and brother in law....... We went to an ugly sweater New Year's Eve party last night and the theme was wear your ugliest sweater. Mat and Kevin got the most votes and yes I will admit they were an eyeful of ugliness. The men had it won hands down so they got my vote. Although Austin's was pretty bad too. Overall it was a fun night. We drank, ate, drank some more, ate some more, played board games, and had some good laughs.

I hope you get some laughs from these pictures too.

Happy New Year!!

Well, a new year is upon us and I hope it brings everyone health, happiness and prosperity. I cannot believe we are already in 2009. The year really did fly for our family and I hope this upcoming one slows down a little so we can enjoy each day a little more than usual.

January brings lots of things back into our household. Baseball season is approaching and sign ups are coming. Preston and Austin are going to play this year. Preston will play t-ball and Austin is trying out for his first season of minors. Right now we are in basketball and Austin's games will start next week. Nicholas still says football is for him so we may or may not try that one out.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful 2009 and may it be so much better than 2008 was.
