The Lake

We took the boys to the lake this past weekend along with Mat's brothers' family and his cousins. We all had a good time and the boys had a blast. Mat's brother owns a boat so the boys got to go tubing, jet skiing, and swimming. So overall they had a great time and we all got to spend the weekend enjoying each others company. It rained a little on Saturday but overall it was a great weather day but Sunday only allowed for one boat ride and then the rain started. Oh well, at least we got in one great day of weather. Lately New Mexico has been having some interesting weather so with that said one good day of weather was better than none. I am putting some pictures up of our weekend lake fun.

A Podcast

So Mat asked me the other day after reading our family blog if I have ever thought about recording our life on a podcast. I didn't even hesitate when I said yes. Oh the joys of boys I would name it and it would let me tell about our humorous life for all to hear. I think it might be fun. Mat has told me I should write a book about all the moments we have had raising our boys. I will admit that parts of our life resemble a comedic sitcom even though we may not admit the funny parts until later on. My boys are great, funny, bring joy to our lives, and never make us have a dull moment. So to all who would be interested in listening to the joys of boys, stay tuned. It may be coming to a podcast near you.

A Day at the Amusement Park

We took the boys a week or so ago to our local amusement park. Preston was finally tall enough for the big roller coaster and loved every minute of it. All of the boys have stomachs of steel, unlike their mommy. I rode my fair share of rides but only if I had to. Mat's cousins were there so Austin got to hang out with the big kids there and he had a blast. They even took the time to ride some rides with Nicholas and Preston. Overall it was a fun family day for us.

"I Never Want to Move Out Daddy!!"

That is exactly what Preston told us today as we were eating lunch. It started with the other two talking about when they grow up, get really rich, and live in big houses they want lots of babies. It was a very cute conversation but Preston didn't see it that way. He burst into tears and told us he never wants to leave his Daddy and Mommy and wants to live with us forever. Austin and Nicholas tried to tell him that someday he will want to move out and live on his own. He kept insisting that he never wants to leave this house or move away from his parents. It was so cute and made us feel good about being parents. I guess somedays we do a better job and make our kids want to be with us forever. I am sure tomorrow could be a way different story, but for today, he wants to live with us FOREVER!!
