Mom's Diaper

Well, as every other Mom out there I have a lovely period every month. It marks my most moody part of the month but today I got the best laugh of all. Nicholas was using my bathroom, which most of the time they only use theirs, so I hadn't put my feminine products away yet. Nicholas comes out of the bathroom holding my pads and asked what are these? Well, Austin had caught word of our conversation and was now heading to my room to see what we were talking about. I told Nicholas that Moms use those sometimes during the month when they need them. Well, Austin followed Nicholas down the hall and this is what I proceeded to hear: Austin told Nicholas "Those are Mom diapers and they use them to protect themselves." "From what." Nicholas said. "Pee, because I have heard Mom say sometimes she laughs so hard she might pee herself. The diapers help her if she pees on herself." By the way that conversation alone did almost make me pee myself. Oh the love of a boys mind never ceases to amaze me.

I Don't Want to be Old

Nicholas had an ear infection a couple weeks ago so it got the family talking about our ears. When Nicholas was a toddler he had ruptured his eardrum and if it wasn't for the little bit of blood I saw we would have never known it had happened because he never cried about it. So Austin was telling us at the dinner table that he never wants to be old because then he has to wear his eardrum on the outside of his ear. We asked him what he was talking about and he said he sees old people with their eardrums on the outside of their ears. I finally realized he was talking about hearing aides and told him that those were hearing aides, not eardrums. Then I had to explain that hearing aides help people hear and that eardrums stay in your ear even when you get older. He seemed very relieved. The way their minds work never ceases to amaze me.

Hold On Mom!!

We were leaving baseball the other evening and getting ready to load the boys in the car. Nicholas and Austin were already in the car and Preston was poking around as usual. I was already tired and getting irritated when I asked him to please hurry up. Well, of course Preston had to respond to me what he was doing. "Mom, I can't hurry I am picking my nose." I had to laugh as he finally got into the car. Gotta love those boys.

Fall Ball

Well, fall baseball is underway and we have all three boys playing. We were not sure how it was going to work but so far so good. They all enjoy playing, especially Nicholas, which surprised us the most. If you have read my previous posts, Nicholas has never been our athletic one, but a few years of growing has sure changed him completely. He loves baseball and is the first one to get ready for his practices and games. He plays catcher and third base and has been on a hitting streak. He got two hits at his game today and got to score twice. He tells us everyday how he wants to play in the spring. Austin is also doing well. He is also playing catcher and sometimes first base. He does really well and we are proud of him. Preston is still in tball but loves to play first base and hit. He does really good too. It is a busy season but a lot of fun to watch.

My Pledge.................Obama's September 8th Speech

On my quest to find any information on Obama's public school speech I came across these two videos. I could not find any actual videos of the speech he plans on making but nothing is greater than watching Hollywood propaganda at its best. As humorous as they both are it reaffirms the reasoning behind my children not viewing it. Please watch the first video and then continue on with the second. Enjoy them as much as I did!!
