Being a Mother of Boys......

Being a mother of boys is sometimes a trying experience. I see it on a daily basis. They are loud, sometimes obnoxious, and very active. Would I have it any other way? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I am a mother bear to my boys and I feel the need to protect them in all ways, not just protecting them from the bad but also from the judgmental idiots you meet. Unfortunately being a mother to all boys means people say stupid things to you and probably don't even realize they are doing it. Or maybe they do. Do I think that a perfect family is a mother, father, daughter, and son. Nope, I sure do not and if everyone's family looked like that it would be pretty boring. What I am sick of though are the comments. Does everyone feel the need to give you theirs, yep most of the time they do. It bugs me too. My boys are caring, loving boys who cried their eyes out when my Dad recently got sick. They love their friends and care about them. They give their Mom and Dad hugs and kisses all the time and tell us they love us all the time. Yes, sometimes they are loud and want to bounce off the walls. And yes, sometimes I do care that they are doing that, but they are kids and should love life. Do I want kids who sit in front of the tv and don't move, who could care less about their family and friends, and have no personality of their own? Nope, I sure don't. I love my boys and wish that everyone around me can see what great kids they are and would love to spend time with them and care about them like I think they should. I have some friends and family that love my kids for all they are worth and I absolutely love that. I just wish everyone could see that they are great kids and deserve the love and attention every child should get whether they are a boy or a girl. If there weren't great little boys born we wouldn't have great men. I have a great husband and Dad and they were little boys once. I wish all people could see the frustrations Moms face when they have multiple little boys running around and somebody can't control their rude and unwarranted comments. Stop and think before you make a judgmental comment about someones family.
